However, he received word from his Pumpkin Chunkin compadre, Patrick Walsh, that the Big Chunk was postponed because they lost their location. Postponed???? Do you postpone the WORLD SERIES?? Would the Pope postpone his Easter Address?? How about Santa Claus deciding that hed come by sometime next year??? Outrageous. They say they will be ready in November, 2015, at the Dover International Speedway. No way. Perhaps a NASCAR race during Chunkfest would be a nice benefit, but it aint the same. So, heres the deal. Fred is going to request an immediate audience with Laurel Mayor Craig A. Moe. Laurel, Maryland, Home of the Pumpkin Chunkin World Championship. Fred can see the signs now. With the Mayors support and a committee consisting of Mr. Walsh and Rick Wilson, the City will be the center of the pumpkin universe. Mrs. Fred even got in on the planning, suggesting we shoot them from Laurel, landing them in Beltsville. Genius. Its a regional event. Like the Olympics. The possibilities are endless.
