have been through the flood of innovations in the last three days, met about 150 innovators in thiruvanthapuram, by farmers, students and others. It was most disappointing that only a few had heard about honey bee network ( honeybee.org sristi.org) till i talked about it. that means a lot of work to do still, a long way to go. Many times selfless volunteers help in spreading the good word around. but some dont. This is part of life. Just now met 15 teams of students from all over the country who have come to receive awards and appreciation at GYTI ( gandhian Young technological innovation Awards, 2014) at iima tom at 430pm. There will be workshops on creative and collaborative design in the morning. investors meet at 12 when some of the angels and crowdfunding experts will discuss with the young tech pioneers how to raise funds for taking their ideas forward. Dr R A Mashelkar is already here for tomorrows function and some other meetings. He will be honoured with Padma Vibhushan day after tomorrow in delhi. we hope that all the 40 students winners of GYTI awrds and appreciation tomorrow will resolve to work together to make India more innovative and inclusive. it is so nice to see so many students who wish to keep their solutions in open source. any one of you who wish to join hands with these young engineers and technologists intaking theorideas forward, is welcome to write back at [email protected] or anilgb@gmail . we are imperfect, inadequate and poorly endowed but we have a big enough heart to assimilate your aspirations and generosity, just be open, be inclusive, be amiable
