Fourth and fifth are half of The Monkees, singer-songwriter-musicians Michael Nesmith (1942) and Davy Jones (1945). At their peak in 1967, the band outsold both the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. And finally singer-songwriter-musician Jeff Lynne (1947) best known as the leader of Electric Light Orchestra and co-founder of The Travelling Wilburys (he was Otis and Clayton Wilbury).
