having been schooled in different universities here and abroad, i had the following unforgettable learnings and experiences: san nicolas college: to shit on my kindergarten chair was embarrassing, but more so when the janitor took off my shorts and douched me with cold water from a hose...(to fend off embarrassment, I literally cried loud) la salle john bosco: buying and reading books are a habit i love to do until now... especially those sneaked out from the libraries...ooopppsss...mea culpa. don bosco: run, jump and do whatever u like as long as u avoid sin--st don boscos or was it st dominic savios quote? silliman high: i never liked geometry then, so instead of listening to our brilliant professor, I became obsessed with buying sliced fruits placed on cellophanes and nibbled these silently with a seatmate... san carlos univ: it was one summer and i used to wear my oleg cassini city shorts..since shorts is a nono in the campus, naturally i was denied entry..but, to the great horror of the guard,i ran past him and he was chasing me like hell in the campus... velez college: to pass a medical course, one should be consistent in studying, not partying till wee hours...the afternoon discos on weekends were really events that I looked forward to... san jose recoletos: fraternities were damn good...to have real bros and sis, sponsored a disco with huge returns, was very memorable...and to see jojo lastimosa almost daily playing basketball was a picture of pure dedication to ones pursuit for excellence...dramatics, school politics, speechfests and theatre...oh, where art thou now? southwestern univ: to be mr university for the first time was a good memory but more so were the awards and the leadership skills and training i got in civic organizations like junior eagles, junior rotaract and junior jaycees heidelberg university: management is necessary in all areas of our existence...my professor gave me a 98 percent rating! masstrict universiteit: PLB, this is a type of learning where the students are the very ones who will look for a topic and have a healthy exchange of ideas.... ateneo de davao: fortes et fides...of all the schools that I have been to, ateneo really kicked my butt and forced me to study seriously... univ of southeastern phils: to be rooted in worldly knowledge is good, but it should connect with spirituality... holy cross of davao: God calls us to be in union with Him... those snippets of experiences i shared made my continuing journey happy, exciting and very challenging...how about your journey? would u mind sharing it?
