he Garden District Gallery is pleased to present THE ARTISTRY OF ROLLAND GOLDEN Final Weekend View a slideshow of this amazing exhibition! This exhibition celebrates the singular artistry of a man whose colorfully vibrant paintings of southern Louisiana and Mississippi defy categorization. It features over thirty works in oil, acrylic and watercolor, that capture the haunting beauty of our landscape with his bold and evocative use of color and graphic design. During an artistic career that spans over five decades, Golden has exhibited his work throughout the world. Solo exhibitions of his work have toured both the former Soviet Union (in 1976 and 1977, with shows in Moscow, Kiev, Leningrad and Odessa) and France (1993 - 1995). His work is included in private, corporate and public collections worldwide, most notably the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Historic New Orleans Collection, Mississippi Museum of Art, the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Pushkin Museum in Moscow. Rollands new memoir, Rolland Golden: Life, Love and Art in the French Quarter, is available through our friends at the Garden District Bookshop.
