hello creation, i am finally back, again! seems that my hand was a tad worse than i thought, but i can use it again, and am here to tell all that happened in darwin. hand first , was stupid really , had my hand on a chair, and the person sitting on it didnt know i had it there and she pushed the chair back, just so happened i had my thumb on the outside of the chair and it got pulled back so the top of my thumb bent back and touched my wrist, luckily i am a skier, or was (snow) and have done it before so just put it back, strapped it and kept going. now my burnt back, funny story that, in austin i bought a muscle pain cream, that came with the instructions glued to the back like a leaflet, that folds out, well who has time to read all that , back cream is back cream, wrong, should of read instructions that said, use a size about the same as your fingernail of your pinky and mix with a tablespoon of moisturiser , nup, i slapped it on , and rubbed it in, so i am standing in the friggin heat , sweating like a pig, thinking is it really this hot or am i imagining it, sweat is dripping down my back and all of a sudden i jump, we were watching the transporter parade, and i start doing a highland jig, turned to hubby and yelled i will be back, now hubby is use to me doing these things, but the people of darwin are not. ran like a olympian, to the first chemist i found and by now my hand is throbbing from the night before and my back is on fire, so i ask the lady for the section on hand straps and as i lean over another lady from the chemist , says my back is bright red, and looking worse for wear, they were lovely ladies and sprayed burn stuff on me, which helped for about 1 hr. we left there and went to the track, and wouldnt you know it , i could of sworn we had seat heaters on , and they were getting to the point of seat cookers, in the end my hero turned out to be the red bull team, one of there guys came to the rescue with a ice spray and for the first time in hours , i didnt look like a giant beetroot with purple hair. the race weekend was up and down , as many of you know, there was really good and really bad, but not only did my boys show that they can get up there (with a little help, from the yellow and red flags) , but they can stay there and fight off , any cars coming up behind them!!!!!!!! maro and tim did brilliantly ,showing what they are made of, but lee, in my eyes shone very brightly indeed, he did exactly what i was looking for , a steady pace and a slow climb, sometimes you need to know that we have the staying power from scratch and lee proved this on the weekend , he really didnt deserve the shunt in the last race , but thats motorsport. none of them deserve to be hit, but we do with the situation what we can . the cars had a few changes and i was really proud of the crew, they gave there all , like they always do. betty
