hello family, tried to post earlier this morning and my laptop stopped me from posting moments away from finishing my post. Brought in the new year at Mt. Gerizim Baptist Church with my grandmother and friend LaNita Willis. Message was POWERFUL AND AWESOME. Yes, people I go to church sometimes. They were giving testimonies and when one man stood up and gave his, it touched my heart that the ladies leading the singing gave me a box of tissue. I gave a testimony of how my grandmother kept praying and asking for prayer for her grandchildren and how I have 12 years, 8 months and 1 day clean and a BS degree. I also called my grandmother a church gangster, and the church agreed. 2014 was such a meaningful year for me, BS degree and all, but it was also a year of losses, that came in three. Edward Thomas, Walter (Mookie) Booker, and Ryan Cox. They all hurt my heart. This new year started on December 29 with NO BREAD for the past three days, Ensure and McDoubles NO BREAD, JUST THE MEAT. I have to start somewhere to lose the weight. It is not a resolution, it is a goal that I have been trying for years, but never stick too, but now with the pain so intense when I walk, it has to happens. It says in our Basic Text, when the pain gets great enough you will do something different. Something different is eating, and walking around our building at work on break instead of just sitting and checking my phone. Have a great rest of the day
