hello thank you for everyone who attended the meeting. and everyone who was in class or could not attend i hope to see you next month at the meeting! meetings will be the second Wednesday of every month at 12 pm in room 1030. so a lot was discussed. *money for club dues (includes t-shirt), fleece, and polos are due by FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 19th (next week). prices are $20 for club with shirt, $30 for fleece and $20 for the polo. If you are interested in purchasing any contact me via private message and we can exchange phone numbers and set up a time to meet. *Miracle League: starts this Saturday!! volunteers are needed! try to commit or buddy up with a friend so the athletes have someone to look forward on a regular basis.For volunteering opportunities contact Kelsy Jean Mantek she is the ARTS representative handling Miracle League, she will contact their volunteer coordinator. Make sure to fill out volunteer form on the website. miracleleaguewilm.org/ if you have a problem filling out the volunteer form contact Helen Harris [email protected] We mentioned briefly about the wheel chair soccer at Miracle League, we believe it will be Wednesday nights but if you are interested in volunteering e-mail Dr. Johnson at [email protected] *Victory Junction Volunteering has multiple weekends for volunteering, they provide housing and food. You just need transportation, maybe car pool? dates for that are September 19-21, September 26-28, October 17-19, October 24-27, and November 7-9. Lyrica Squires can assist you with any questions regarding that. *We have two fundraisers we are trying to organize with P.Ts grille and Jasons Deli, we will need volunteers but that will be mentioned later on when details are finalized. *Kickball tournament will be planned for the Spring, it will be held at the Miracle League field, and the money will be donated to the Miracle League. *Special Olympics is hosting a Halloween dance, and need volunteers to set up, hang out, and clean up. If interested contact one of the officers of the club. *October 19-21 there is a conference being held in Raleigh for NCTRS, if you are not a member it will be around $50 (and that will make you a member) if you are currently a member it is $40. Scholarships will be handed out to go, so if you are interested and cannot afford it apply for a scholarship. *Laurel Elizabeth Hanes one of out new members (Welcome!!) brought up the alzheimers walk November 8th!
