here is my latest work. I am designing a claw. its a robotic hand. you have seen some but this one is WAY COOL. you put on a glove. and a velcro strap around your arm just above the elbow. when you straighten your arm the cord attached to your bicep pulls the claw out so it extends to 3 times its length. so if you were standing you could straighten your arm twards the ground. (just let it hang) and the claw will reach the ground with its palm. when you close your hand inside the glove the fingers on the claw will close with 5X the force you use. so you will have superior strength and reach. I think this will be a great new mobility aide.... short people. or people with weak hands. or people in wheel chairs. or kids. or to pick up things off the grass from your riding lawn mower. or out the window of your car. or off the ground by the drive through window. the finger tips will have magnets imbedded in them. and they will be interchangeable. so you can put different finger tips on for different tasks. I have even thought about making the arm a plastic tube like a vacuum attachment so you could put your vacuum hose into the back of it and the palm will suck up stuff. I could make an attachment for the back of the hand to screw a water hose into it and then you could use the robotic hand to hold a sponge and scrub your car or something you cant reach like a window. the difference between any other claw or kids toy is this one will have a hand like yours but 5X stronger and it will reach out and bring back stuff too. so when you want to take the thing out of your hand that you just picked up the robot hand will be right by your hand not 30" away. and having it the shape of a hand with force feed back you will be able to feel what your picking up. each finger of the robot hand will be attached to strings that are attached to the fingers of the glove your wearing. its going to be light weight and small. it will be less than a foot long when its retracted and up to 42" long when extended. I think this will be a great invention.
