here is the recipe for burgoo i was asked about. you will need 3-4 lbs of meat depending on the size of meal, 3 different types i use deer tenderloin, beef roast, and pork roast. can sub squirrel or what ever you want. 1 lg can of diced tomatoes 1 lg can of chicken broth 1 medium onion 1 green pepper 2 packs of italian seasoning 1 pack of ranch seasoning 2 packs of brown gravy tony chatcherys creole seasoning this is for the base take the onion and green pepper and process down to real fine (almost a puree) put in crock with chicken broth, and all seasonings and a teaspoon of creole. drain tomatoes and add. stir well. and meat and cover in juice. cook low for 8 hrs. remove meat and shred (should fall apart) now you will need 1 can of sweet corn 1 can green beans 2 cans whole new potatoes half can of peas 1 can sliced carrots 1 8oz can of diced tomatoes lima beans if you like sliced celery if you like drain all canned goods and add to broth, sprinkle creole seasoning across top as a light dusting then add meat and mix well. add 3-4 heaping teaspoons (to your liking) of corn starch. MIX WELL place crock on high till boiling slightly. thickness should hold a spoon vertical. some like thinner, if you do, omit the starch. i have never wrote this down so there was probably an easier way to document, sorry.
