heres the thing, when I say I am sick of being single Im not saying its been a month since he dumped me and I am ready to move on. Im talking that like Haleys Comet, I get lucky enough to meet a man who takes a chance on me once in 7 years- oddly, it really is once in every 7 years I date. Im about due. Sadly, when some poor sod gets in my sights, I dont just put myself out there I sling shot in and become bat shit banana sandwich crazy (I have a BA in Psych that is a real diagnosis). I get all needy and clingy and act completely unlike the person I really am, because I suddenly cant cope. Im starving by then and like a crack addict I know it wont last so I try to get as much in a short period of time because when its gone I dont know when it will happen again...well, ok, at least another 7 years because seriously its weird but like clockworks every 7 years. also, I didnt start dating until I was well into my 20s so most of you have had a head start...and they never last longer than 3 months because inevitably they realize why I have been single that long
