hey - rcfp johnny -communication devices, cell phones have thru the years, over the years, have made remarkable improvements. i can remember cuzins dan fields piece looked like it was army issue, hand held though with a 3ft antenna he would have to extend, a place you would talk into and a ear piece to listen from, larger than his shoe and heavier than a brick, mine was a mobil phone, not as though danos could not be mobil, just what mine was called, it looked like a regular dial up phone, really, had a dial system, you know with a place to put your finger in and turn the dial to the right, let go and it would spin back to its stop and you would pick the next number and spin the dial to the right again, repeating this until all the numbers needed to make the call were dialed. actually had a cord attached to the item you placed at your ear and the other end of it you spoke into, like a regular, not at all common today phone. mine though was screwed to the truck and remained in the truck, you could set the phone to set your car horn to start blasting as the phone was ringing to alert you when you were being called. problem with that was to remember to reset the phone for driving mode so while in traffic your phone dint start honking at the car in front of you. luv the progress we have made.
