hey Columbus crowd, recently I heard rumors through the grapevine lately that my famous bakery is closing , or that im retireing ( I wish ). let me be 100% clear here , I jimmy retzos , owner of Columbus baking co. is NOT CLOSING NOR RETIREING ANYTIME SOON!!!!! hey , im only 54yrs. old , and my father retired at 72yrs old. ive got a long ways to go till I hang up my apron for the last time , and furthermore , my son , jimmy jr. is 31yrs. old and is working side by side with me EVERYDAY!!!! im the 3rd generation , and my son is the 4th generation. AND , my son has 3 boys as well!!! ages 11 , 6 and 2mo old. so we have even a 5th generation to carry on this Syracuse legacy indeed!!!!! actually , the bakery is doing GREAT!!!! and the deli ( which is already 5yrs. young ) is doing even better!!!! and even our CONCESSION TRAILER that we do almost ALL the downtown festivals is doing EXCEPTIONAL!!!!!!!!! SO , for 118yrs and going strong , Columbus baking co. will continue for another 118yrs as being the BEST ITALIAN BREAD , IN & OUT OF NY STATE!!!! PERIOD!!!!!!! so please , stop with ALL the rumors , you have now heard it ( or read it ) straight from me ( jimmy sr, ) and if anyone hears of any of these rumors , have them read this post , or even better yet , stop in at the bakery and see for themselves!!!!! come down and get your crust on , jimmy sr. ;)
