hey camera nerds!!! your input please! would be greatly apprecieated! hey buddy got a camera question for you if you have a moment to add your 2cents. i am looking at the compact dslrs and am looking to shoot both vid and hopefully get a little more hi quality photos for blog etc. however wanted compact as i shoot on the go while doing my biking etc (just dont see myself whipping out the big camera bodies + weight penalty). I have been looking at the eos m (has all the hi end video features I wanted which are lacking on the competitors) but it didnt review to well due to lack of battery power/ slow power up/ lack of manual controls etc. i have used the lumix point and shoots and had really good results with those and obviously panasonic makes a lumix compact too. however lack of external mic and also didnt review to well. i guess my big question is: 1. will i notice a big difference in photo quality going from a point and shoot ( i have a 12 mega pixel lumix) to a compact dslr? 2. do have any strong brand loyalty to the canon line? other than the complaints of the slow power up lack of battery power and menu functions it has all the hi end video features i want. 3. price range at that end for compact dslrs is getting up there with lo end like the eos rebel line. should i just suck it up and lug around a big camera because the quality is worth the penalty? or do you think i can get really good quality photos from the compact eos m? i know that is a lot of questions, but I have been pulling my hair out looking at all the options and about the time i zero in on one i notice it wasnt reviewed well.
