hey guys, i just joined a poetry club and i have 2 write all these poems pls read my first poema and tell me what you think (i dont mind criticisms) Nigeria I love you with all my heart but i hate you with all my soul, I love the beautiful people but I hate our tendency for evil, I love the way we sing and dance but i hate the way we live our lives, we respect our elders we love our children but we hate each other- our lives we ruin, we pray, we preach, we sing, we teach- only to steal with greed, oppress and leach, our flag: green white green- poverty; beside greed leaders none, rulers many, I wonder what we did to deserve this headache, all the people want is good governance, education, health care, an enabling enviroment, all they get is one thing: nothing! it is easier to act as if all is well; rosy and dandy but my concience wont let me: for evil thrives in this type of enviroment; an enviroment where good men do nothing, dont ask, dont tell- even though we are heading to hell it is well! so i love Nigeria my country but I hate what Nigeria has done to me or rather- what I have done to her...
