hey guys wana share this to you read like and share as you leave a comment This is a sad story narrated by a teacher in garissa... 100% of my students are Muslims of which 80% of teachers are nywele ngumu .i teach literature.. we usually teach while looking at our backs because if you offend a student, youre dead, i was teaching poetry in form one and some students said it is HARAM i didnt know what to do or say so i opted to end the lesson. we are treated here like slaves in our own country,if the students dont like you...your game is over Now if u happen to invigilate the KCSE , you must be ready to co operate with them stealing the exam if you dont youre good as dead. I happen to catch a student with a mwakenya and handed it over to KNEC..the following morning i was accosted by two men who told me wee kafiri hasidi huyo mwanafunzi akipata y tutakupiga risasi ya matako mbwa wewe i reported this to my supervisor who advised me to go to the police on which i recorded a statement and since i didnt know them no arrest has been made. A teacher neighbour of mine was shot under the similar circumstances the government is waiting i die so that it can take action and transfer me and others. Here in garissa we dont teach wha twe have to teach, we teach what the students want and if u dont want your done days ago a collegue was chased from class for teaching insurance to them its against islam to do insurance..i am a sad teacher because i cant do music because it is HARAM , drama is also HARAM. As a teacher i cant put on a simple chain it is HARAM i am gratefull to be alive as i write this... my landlord is another one we have toilets for nywele ngumu who to them wanakojoa kama punda at work our bosses treat us different if a nywele ngumu has done a mistake its treated as treason and a letter is drafted to TSC immediately,if its a local its treated locally i have another collegue who has never reported to school but he is still on the payroll... to them nywele ngumu are slaves i dont know what im goin to do im still too young to die..as we speak im in nairobi looking for another job i dont think it worthy dying for nothing if i get even a 10k job il gladly do it ... teaching somalis here is like milking a buffallo
