hi, I see postings about recipes for kale...In the Netherlands we have a very popular recipe for kale: boerenkoolstampot (boerenkool = kale). It is a winter dish. You need potatoes, kale and bacon bits. You peel and cut the potatoes, rinse and cut the kale into small stripes. You put the potatoes in a pan, add the kale on top and then let them boil together (Dutch people will now add a smoked sausage on top). You fry the bacon bits. If the potatoes and kale are done, you mash them together, add a little milk, butter, nutmeg and salt if you like. After that you add the bacon bits. Nice to eat with that smoked sausage, an omelet or stew meat. Would love to have some other kale recipes as this is what I normally do with it, but would love some new ideas...
