hi all, last night i wrote a large greeting to everyone, u didnt get it, remember i told u all how i am about hitting wrong buttons, yea! i dont know what i hit but i wiped it out. too bad u would have enjoyed it. it was a story about my mother when i was a kid. come to think of it ,i think ill tell it again. lol i was living when the first rca tv was invented. my mother always sent us to our grandparents during school vacation cause she couldnt afford child care. while we were gone she saved enough money to pay cash for one of those tv sets. we got 3 channels and once in a while one of them out of the 3 would be clear enough to see and the stations signed off at 10;00 that was during the days when people went to bed. cause they got up early enough to get something done during the day. my, things have changed. something else that changed is refrigerators these days we have some that will freeze ice, give u water out of the door and hold enough food for an army. back then u had an insulated box that would hold a block of ice if u were fortunate enough to have a way into town and a few pennies to buy it. our water jugs were just that a jug of water wrapped in toesack and setting under a shade tree at the end of the cotton patch or the garden or where ever it was u were working that day. we were entertained by mama jackson in many different ways, one of her fun things was to wax the living room floor and give each kid a pair of socks so we couldslide around the floor and polish it for her. young people these days are not easily entertained , most of the time they are bored, but if they really want to know about the things that happened in history, ask an elder. we were there for a lot of it. things have changed school books are wiping out a lot of the history and changing it to suit themselves. america is being disarmed thru the teaching of our children. once america knew who her enemies were and could guard against them, thats the reason america was so powerful.once the elders who lived thru the history are gone, how will the children know the sacrifices that were made to keep this a free nation, our country was built on peoples faith in all mighty god and his son jesus christ. now our children are not allowed to have a bible and pray in school. our military is not allowed to teach or speak of jesus. and they wonder why america is being destroyed.may god have mercy on us.
