hi friends! its so nice to hear from you guys :) im a list kind of person so here goes the big stuff going on haha 1. i am currently a student at the University of Northern Iowa. i am working on a double undergradvaka two degrees simultaneously which are TESOL (teaching english to speakers of other languages) and English/ Literature education. on top of the two degrees and i am also working on teaching licensure for both content areas... its stressful but interesting/totally worth it. i have one semester left...light at the end of the loooong tunnel! 2. on top of that i teach preschool at a child development center (the top rated preschool in iowa i might add ;) THIS IS THE GREATEST JOB IN THE WORLD. 16 little three year olds = pure joy...and ten of them are dual language learners so i am totally obsessed. 3. i am also involved in an organization called UNIRISE where i teach English to Burmese refugees in a city near my university. its so amazing and i recently accepted a leadership position which is like holy cow when do i have time but i love it so much i try to make it work. 4. i volunteer at a local church for their childrens ministry programs and its a blast...im in charge of the first graders and its total chaos but i love it. 5. this past year i accepted an internship position at the universitys study abroad center and i have a cute lil cubicle where i plan/book/recruit for short term academic programs abroad for students and the pay off is i get to go to italy this summer for a month!! woowoo! as part of my contract the center pays for all of my expenses but i will say that this is probably the most stressful undertaking ive had to date so i have toooootally earned that trip lolll 6. in a nutshell, i am totally, madly, deeply in love with my life and everything that God has blessed me with. if it involves education, language, culture, traveling, or children, ya gurl liz is alll over it. ;) love you guys! my heart is so happy to hear that yall are doin so well and have such wonderful, blessed lives
