hkfleetinglight/en-us/education-activities FLEETING LIGHT: ARTIST WORKSHOPS, CALL FOR PARTICIPATION Jim Campbell - Tues 16th September, 1:30pm - 6pm Samson Young - Wed 17th September, 1:30pm - 6pm Leung Mee Ping - Thurs 18th September, 1:30pm - 6pm The “Fleeting Light” programme brings together the work of three international and local artists, Jim Campbell, Leung Mee Ping, and Samson Young, whose large-scale, immersive and interactive art pieces will be on display throughout Hong Kong this autumn. Jim Campbell’s work “Eternal Recurrence” will light up the IIC Tower’s 77,000sqm screen façade, while his work “Scattered Light” will be on display in Central. Leung Mee Ping’s “Star Pupas” features a domed tent with an immersive star-scape environment inside, while Samson Young’s “Stanley” creates an artificial beach as part of a sound and light installation exploring Hong Kong’s WWII past. To mark the “Fleeting Light” programme of events, artists Jim Campbell, Samson Young and Leung Mee Ping will be hosting a series of artist workshops at CMC. The workshops are aimed at artists, curators, art critics, and any junior or senior professionals willing to know more about the process of creation, conception, and production of large scale installations, and who wish to share their thoughts and opinions about their own, and others’ projects.
