how happy am i to live in a place where we can have meshk and dhikr until 0300AM outside in the garden, under our tents, mashaallah! not only do the neighbours not complain, they hang out of the windows and clap. the nights of ramazan when there was no music they asked, whats going on over there? no music?! the banquet of affection descended, flowing with the beautiful wine of love. new dervishes (Hassan Noorulhaqq and Issa Hüseyin), mashaallah, birthed tonight, gave bereket to new dervish-in-loves (instead of dervishes-in-law!) from a sweet and near tarikat, gave a blessing to a beautiful marriage, blessed a midwife for the dying and dead and those who accompany them, blessed a new-old zakirbashi/hoja, who then blessed his cousin, son of a murshida), all after blessing a new murshida (sufi version of a Dharma Teacher). we have been praying and singing in turkish, arabic, kurdish, spanish, english, malayalam and french: my kind of party!!! and my sons, issas buds, turned it out! beautiful mevlîd recitation in the Ottoman style and in Kurdish style: i could not stop crying....... my heart is just full to overflowing...... pictures to follow: maybe ill repost this when i have them. for now, it is time to get ready for the last Sahur of the year. may Jenab-i hakk grant us to greet the Queen of Months again next year!!! She was FIERCE this year and we cannot wait to have her back, inshaallah!!!!
