Lake Orion woman struck, killed in weekend accident on busy Waterford road By John Turk, The Oakland Press A Lake Orion woman was hit and killed by a motorist Saturday night while crossing a busy thoroughfare near the Pontiac-Waterford border. Jenee West, 32, was struck around 10 p.m. in the middle of Telegraph Road, near Voorheis Street. She died from blunt force neck, chest and abdominal trauma sustained in the incident, Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office investigators report. Her death has been ruled an accident. Toxicology results will take at least two weeks to return, investigators added. Witnesses at the scene following the tragic traffic incident reported that as many as a dozen patrol cars and several fire engines were in the area, redirecting traffic for more than four hours as the investigation was underway. Pontiac resdient Curtis Jack, who lives a few blocks from the area, said crime tape blocked the area in a four-block radius. He added that Telegraph is one of the most dangerous major roads in the county with several traffic problems.
