hows the audacity of some people!! you go and check out a resto job for a couple,give them a ballpark figure on what rust/damage you can see,tell them its only a very ballpark figure and that i charge by the hour,strip the car,get it blasted,find out it has had very dodgy rust and damage repairs done previously,order in all the panels and extra parts they want fitted,cut out all the rust just to welded and linished stage,fit the new panels needed.fit the aircon etc,finish the firewall and paint the entire underside and firewall black pearl and bolt the body back on a completely repainted/restored rolling chassis so it can go home until they have more money!all good! fast forward 3 years and they now are taking me to a consumer tribunal where they want me to pay them 30k to finish the car!!not bad huh?the reason for it being 3 years down the track is because of all the stress i caused them with their car!! i now have to spend a heap of time and money defending it without being able to recoup costs as these tribunals cant award costs!! unbelievable!!
