I would not only make sure this place is closed down but I would build a much better and saver place for the dogs on higher ground. That is my dream and hopefully one day it will happen. She has been rescued thank god but had ticks on her the size of grapes. We had her saved hours before she was due to be put down. There were 2 in there as of yesterday we are trying to save Too many posts to read, but is that a water main break? The dogs lay in this water Whoever took the video needs to show the runs being flooded too, so that we know that is a fact about the dogs standing in water.. Someone above said a new bldg is going up... for these dogs. I think we all need to figure out a way and between us all we have a lot of contacts to help this shelter take better care of these dogs. They need to be treated as one of Gods creatures and they are not. Im also wondering with the daily kill rate being so high if they get paid for every Pitt and bully breed they kill. We need lots of research to see what we can do to help we are trying to raise awareness of the conditions of this shelter. Thank you for always being so willing to help The trouble is there are many places like this. And the money is simply not available. Supposedly a new building will be done in 2015. I cant remember exactly but Ali can. I cant remember what happened with the tax increase the citizens voted on. Im just so sad every day when I have to go thru 38 pages of dogs looking for Bostons, pugs, Frenchies and English bulldogs. Some days I just cant do it The citizens voted to increase their own taxes I think around 27 million - this was after the commissioners finally agreed to put it to a vote and the citizens voted YES - we will pay to increase our taxes - then the commissioners rejected what they agreed to the let the citizens vote on. Someone in the Miami area I am sure will know all about this. I do a virtual walk-thru of a few shelters in TX every day, for a TX bt rescue, looking for bostons, boston mixes, frenchies and frenchie mixes and some days I just cry.
