Sadly it is not only about the Serengeti anymore...the strugle against destruction and extinction is only seems to have become harder and heavier. And why? Mainly because of people wanting status symbols of ivory or have archaic beliefs in medicinal value of animal parts. We have to stand up against this. It is time that we start realizing it is not about saving animals and eco systems anymore. It is about saving humanity as well. We are not above nature, we are part of it! And if you think it is far away just think about how AIDS, EBOLA and the bird flu entered our human world.
