The remaining ones will be removed once the tree is fully decorated. BTW, the tree is fake. No constant raining of tree needles! I have three circles around the base of the tree. The inner loop is 19 inch radius Kato Unitrack. The outer loops are Tomy Tech (Tomix) 21-5/16 and 23-13/16 inch radius track. While I am going to run Santa Fe trains I decided to run the test trains with some Erie Lackawanna power I had lying around. The trains ran on the two inner tracks without a major hitch. There are a few dips in the track due to apron folds (I cant flatten it out perfectly) but as long as the couplers are the same height they run fine. The outer loop was a bit of a problem for the freight cars as there is a slight bump where the buttons located.* It turned the apron upside down but there was still a slight bump that made some of the freight cars uncouple. However, my Kato ATSF passenger cars handled them without a hitch so that train will use the outer circle. Hopefully by the end of the week the tree will be ready and I can run my three trains! *Next year Ill probably get a plain white mat.
