Yet, does this kind of film going to work again after 19 years later? Well movies like The Core (2003), The Day After Tomorrow (2004), Poseidon (2006), Knowing (2009) and Into to the Storm (2014) failed to reach the mainstream audience because all this film end up as box office flop or badly review. Among all, only 2012 (2009) manage to become colossal box office hit with mixed reviews due to the film focus on the ultimate disaster moments. I guess probably why the film focus similar idea like 2012 (2009) and getting franchise savior, Dwayne Johnson AKA The Rock to participate to secure box office guarantee. The film also dare to release on summer movies period and hopefully it able to exceed other failed to live up disaster movie.
