Can anyone enlighten me as to Stefans argument here...at 9:19 he disaprovingly states that determinists place the mind in the material universe, and consider it a mere physical machine. Suggesting that Stefan believes in a supernatural element to the mind, or a soul...but earlier in the video he claims that the mind is material, Im not saying its any kind of magical elf. But its clear that he thinks to place the mind within material reality, as he states determinism does, is an error. Whats going on here? Oscar Nowell Addis any ideas? The so truth does not exist in a deterministic universe/truth is a preferred state argument seems even more queer in this context. Other strange moments...he says the claim I dreamed about an elephant last night has no real truth or falsehood value since theres no way to test it...youre simply relying on my reporting. But something can be true without you having justification for believing in it, no? So...?
