With a new designed system of “the Curtain of Water”, a spectacular but environmentally friendly attraction is born. The Curtain of Water: Surrounded by water in the Egret Lake, this system is to absorb the lake water to the roof of the resort through pipes as a way to utilize the geographical advantage. The water reserved on the roof will fall down on the surface of the wall forming a water curtain, which can reflect sunlight to reduce the heat entering the indoor spaces. In summer days, the lake water is much cooler than the outdoor temperature. Through contacting the building surface, the room temperature can be maintained at a comfortable extent. The demand for air-conditioners thus declines to achieve the objective of energy saving. Alternatively, the curtain will run at different time intervals to allow guests to enjoy the scenery. At night, it can also be accompanied by lasers to perform a symphony of lights as a gimmick to raise the number of visitors. The Water Turbine: As water reaches the root of the building, it will be transferred to the water turbine under the ground. The impulse of the water flows provides the motive power to the turbine to start turning. When the turning speed becomes high enough, the kinetic energy of water can be converted into electrical energy to supply certain parts of the resort usage. By applying the process of transferring water to the water turbine and getting the renewable energy generated, the resort can have a better or even, fully use of the consumed energy because all the energy that the resort has used for running the Curtain of Water will be collected and used for generating renewable energy. Nourishment of Plants: The water left from the turbine continues to be conveyed to the farms nearby preventing from the waste of water. The abundance of minerals in the lake water offers a favored condition for plants to flourish. On the other hand, the food waste from the resort is proposed to be collected and transformed into organic composts with the assistance of vermicomposting processors. During the transformation, the food waste decomposes due to the biological bacteria actions. Eventually, organic composts are produced to improve the soil quality in the farms. Plants can bloom and grow under this nourished environment. Mini Farms: To minimize the waste of water and the food waste, a couple of mini farms are constructed for the residents to enjoy farming and green lives. The plants are grown under the use of lake water left from the turbine and the organic composts.
