https://youtube/watch?v=Gy0mNvL6oM0 This is an improved repost of my flight back from Ohrid to Sofia on IL-18 LZ-BEU on December 9, 1996 Monday morning next. This flight was delayed due to thick fog in Sofia and I still had 4 (!) connecting flights on my way back to Seoul, Korea ahead of me. First connecting to Budapest on AN-24 LZ-ANC, then KLM 737-400 PH-BFG to Amsterdam, followed by KLM 747-400 PH-BFN (Nairobi) to Osaka, Japan and the finally on Asiana 747-400C HL7414 back to Seoul. The AN-24 waited 30 minutes just for me. My brand new SHARP camera broke down frequently, not to mention the batteries. This camera was the first generation of video cameras with digital recording. Obviously the digital recording technology 18 years ago was still at an experimental stage. The video head got worn out immediately. After a few seconds the camera turned hot and taping was interrupted, especially during the most important phases of taping : Take off and landing. Eighteen years later, I tried to assemble the fractions of this puzzle of video fragments as best as I could. In this repost I removed more damaged fractions and streamlined the overall flow.
