Those were the days...A few of my band mates also inhabited the crib we called The Shiver Shack. After spending a lost weekend recording at Right Track in NYC and being up for days we decided to drive back to The Shack. We were winding down getting ready to crash and the drummer put on Monday Night Football . I was exhausted and went to bed. I had a land line next to my bed and from a dead sleep picked it up on the first ring only to hear my friend Andy say John Lennon had been Shot I woke right up and the next words were Hes Gone I remember the silence like it was yesterday.It still brings tears to my eyes as I write this tonight.WHY Lennon and Why Now ??? It made no sense then and even less tonight. It reminds me of being a 3rd grader The day JFK was assassinated . This Boy for me is the greatness that was The Beatles. A Great pop song with wonderful harmonies natural rhythm guitar playing and a lead vocal that tears through everything and stands the hairs on the back of my neck at attention every time I hear it. Enjoy.... It never gets old for me. Give Peace A Chance and RIP John Winston Lennon.
