https://youtube/watch?v=Lt3IOdDE5iA one more salute to Johns birthday ... he was a huge influence on my life and career choice, I met him and David Peel in Washington Square and I was already involved in the antiwar effort and after talking to them and Abbie and a few others I joined the Youth International Party (YIPPIE) and went to Austin Texas to help with the protest efforts there and before long I was more into music than politics and met Bill Josey senior at Sonobeat Records who taught me how to record music then helped Willis Alan Ramsey build a studio and learned even more and I was totally hooked on producing and engineering recordings even more than I was playing live gigs although living in Austin I spent my days and nights playing gigs or doing studio work and or chasing wild freaky women ... I was Austin weird baby and in many ways still am since I became a Jesus Freak hanging around the Well on the drag and many years later here I am still writing music and loving Jesus and trying to end war on earth (blessed are the peacemakers ... I dont know where those political religious people got the idea that being a warmonger was holy ... nor where they got the idea that hating and condemning sinners was Christian ... ) I stand on the shoulders of giants and love them all ... I do often wonder whatever happened to Alan Mcaddams who was helping Willis build the studio until they went separate ways but that is another story altogether ... as usual I will post the Sonobeat website in a comment because it is a huge part of Austin music history ... Janis and Kris recorded there the Winter brothers started out on the label ... Eric Johnson ... many more ... and I realize this was a shout out to John but as I said I owe my career choice to a chance meeting playing guitar in a park in new york city ... peace yall
