One of favourite scores is Alex Norths fabulous work for Spartacus - incredibly daring for the time with its thrillingly jarring atonal motifs. Well, what many people dont know is that Stanley Kubrick teamed up with North a second time in 1968 time when he commissioned him to do the score for 2001 A Space Odyssey. Sadly for North, Kubrick never used it, opting instead for classical / orchestral concert works. Fortunately, Norths score has been resurrected.
