https://youtube/watch?v=f4zbUAuixD8, I just got into a debate with another Flomo in another boxing page, so he came at me with a conspiracy theory that Joshua Clottey just let Pacquiao beat him in there fight!! LOL(he claimed this is what Clottey said and that Bob Arum offered him more money to throw the fight because Clottey said it, and if he did say it, hes full of shit!! Lol) So this is my conclusion on it and I want some feedback from some knowledgeable boxing people in here on it too. When you watch Clotteys fight with Pacquaio and Miguel Cotto(an objective person can see this too) Joshua Clottey plays defense more than offense. This is one of the reasons Cotto was able to win rounds against him late in there fight because he focused more on blocking punches and trying to time Cotto,(Like he was doing in the middle rounds) and Cotto was able to adjust, like he did with Mosley in the later rounds and this mainly had to do with Clotteys punchout put. When Cotto fought Pacquiao, he couldnt do so and thats because Pacquaio was storming him with an offensive onslaught of punches that he never felt before with speed coming at him at awkward angles, and thats because Pacquaio throws wayyy more punches than Clottey does. Clottey fought Pacquaio the same way he fought Miguel Cotto but because he plays defense too much, more than offense,(pay attention now) it allowed Pacquaio to keep him on the defense by covering up(remember, Pac was throwing upwards to a 100 punches a round in there fight) and the reason he couldnt counter Pacquaio like hes done with everyone else is because even when Pacquaio took breaks after a flurry that Clottey blocked with his turtle guard, he kept moving his head off center and constantly turning him where Clottey couldnt reset and it was confusing him, not only that, he admitted after the fight that Pacquaio was very fast which also had a lot to do with why he made him look like a sitting duck. Now this Mayweather fan implied that when he hit Pacquaio he a lot of caused damage and that he would of somehow Koed Pacquaio if he lets his hands go more....theres truth to that and thats because hes a much bigger and physically stronger man,(A hell of a lot stronger than Mayweather feather fisted punches Lol) so of course hes gonna cause more damage when he hit him and this is just common sense. However, the other times when he would open up with a combination in the fight, Pacquaio was also catching his punches with his gloves(something he doesnt get enough credit for when it comes to defense) and using his footwork by not being there and Clottey couldnt adjust and this is the real truth on what happen in there fight. So if Clottey said he threw the fight(which I doubt it) hes lying!! Clottey never fought an offensive juggernaut like Pacquaio, unless you count Antonio Margarito but Margarito is a brawler that likes to beat you in spots but he has no where the speed, footwork, timing, reflexes, or boxing IQ that Pacquaio has. So, what do you guys think? Do you think Clottey just threw the fight or do you think that I broke down what really happened in there fight?
