Marco Ruas points out that Carlson Gracie Fight Team are originally Luta Livre and that his half brother Rolls Gracie extensively studied under Maestre Roberto Leitao. Carlson Gracie points out that Marco Ruas studies Jiu Jitsu, but Marco says I originally from Judo with Joe Moierera and was invited by Maestre HUGO MELO to take up Luta Livre while Joe went to the Gracies to study Jiu Jitsu and eventually Marco and Joe trained together for Vale Tudo. Marco says that Jiu Jitsu success was because of Luta Livre teachings and fighters came to Jiu Jitsu for financial reasons to fight overseas. :)
