https://youtube/watch?v=hgmOO5jiiq0 We need to let people grow their own food. The Kingdom of Hawaii is being controlled by the illegally occupying foreign empire, the U.S. Until this major problem is addressed, the people that do own the land will continue to be oppressed, impoverished, and dispossessed. Why are so many kanaka maoli people living in tents on the beach in Waianae? Is it because they need skills? training? no. Its because the U.S., in co-operation with the foreign born sugarcane plantation owners/religious leaders stole their land, their water, destroyed their farms, and their homes. My great-grandfather was a SLAVE on your illustrious sugarcane plantation. Oh, Ahem, Identured Servant. Right, temporary slave, oh, and he got paid ten cents an hour, so that makes it okay. The kanaka maoli were growing taro, bananas, ulu, sweet potatoes, coconuts, wading in cool mud, working 14 to 18 hours a week, resting in the shade in midday, because they systems they created were made to improve the ecosystem every year. The slaves, ahem, plantation workers, had to work in the hot sun for 10 hours a day, six days a week, and would get whipped by the manager, on horseback. So, why were the employees living that lifestyle instead? They had no choice. They were force to pay back their debt for coming over here, ironically as refugees from the Filipino-American War AKA THE INVISIBLE WAR because its been nearly erased from history books, since the US, is so ashamed of the psychopathic Nazi-like atrocities committed by its soldiers, such as massacring whole villages, and raping the women before they killed them. Of course, none of this has relevance because the US is a state, and we are all American Citizens. Actually the laws are Hawaii Revised Statutes because they took the Kingdom Law and revised it. If the U.S. government did the right thing, and returned the land back to the Kingdom of Hawaii and we returned to the ahupuaa system of focusing on the impact of the entire ecology of a region for seven generations into the future such as is the way of the indigenous people, then communities would be able to simply grow food in their community. The state is fake. The UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is literally a corporation. Sorry to break it to you. /not really. truth hurts.
