Leaders and experts around the world fear it might become the biggest health challenge since HIV/Aids. Initially, the outbreak was concentrated in West African countries, but recently cases of infection are being reported in the United States and some European countries as well. Korea is no longer out of the picture because news reports in January 3 2015 revealed that a Korean medical technician was assumed to have been infected. People who lost their family members to Ebola appear in the video. Their lives were torn apart by the deaths of their loved ones. Some people lost all of their family and had to go live with their relatives. Most of these people had trouble making ends meet each day due to the absence of a father or a mother. What shocked me most was the response and treatment toward the Ebola effected families. For instance, one women who lost her husband to Ebola said that all her friends abandoned her and people around her refrained from interacting with her. In another case, a woman who also lost her husband wasnt even able to see her husband’s body after he was declared dead. The officials took him and put his body along with the other people who were killed by the virus. I want to share this video because it shows how the Ebola virus is devastating families in Africa. Most of us probably heard about the outbreak and its progress through the news. However, we often don’t take it in with much concern because the epidemic hasnt affected our own country. I hope that after watching this video clip, the people who watch it show more interest toward the Ebola crisis.
