https://youtube/watch?v=lL2ZwXj1tXM This is not my story, but it hits home.. A Comment left by a listener. They start off as a happy family, they have a little girl, the mom cares for her, the dad works, everything is great- those are the memories the woman is looking back at- trying not to face reality or think of anything beyond that. Something happens to mom and the dads inner demons are screaming at him- which is what the man with the black wings is, his inner demon. They are telling him to drink, to rape, to abuse his daughter, it is a constant battle that he usually loses- his daughter tries to love him anyways however is always hurt by it and when the demons take over she runs and hides under the bed- as shown in the video Of course, the demons win over her dad nearly every time- he chases her down and leaves permanent black marks all over her, and the places around her. These are like scars- not physical ones but mental ones- and they haunt her for life. The older woman is the little girl in the future, she continuously has flashbacks to the abuse and assaults and they are holding her down, just as she gets back up she is forced back down again (the nurses tying her to the bed)- notice how the straps become her dads arms? Her dad has now gotten the help he needs- the demons are haunting both of them and she never wants to see him again. the memories haunt her and her father, she finally lets herself think of the abuse, the assault, and can finally picture the demons her dad was fighting- which is why in the flash backs we can physically see the man with the dark wings- she can see them, she knows now what was going on in his head- they are now in her head and she begins to accept the fact that all this happened- the arms loosen slightly. Then she sees her dad fighting with it, fighting with his urge, his uncontrollable desire to cause pain, and that brings her courage, the feathers begin to fall- each thought is slowly fading away from both their minds, she curls into a ball and pictures her dad fighting the black winged man- fighting for her, which is all she ever wanted- all the feathers fall off and both her dad and the winged man disappear. She suddenly has the strength to sit up, She stands up, the hands no longer holding her down, and walks away- away from the bed, away from the memories, away from the feathers, away from the thoughts, and leaves all of it behind her- in the past, and smiles, knowing it will no longer hold her down. Also did you notice when they were dancing the little girl had black wings on her back? This shows that the inner demons have been connected to her the whole time, and after years of flashbacks, being held back and held down, she finally stands up and walks away, notice the song title Never too Late. Even years after, it is still NOT too late! (S. Karas).
