This was essentially a drive-by by a cop. How can that happen? It happens because the cop brought his preconceived ideas to the scene. He did not take the time to investigate the situation; he did not take time to assess the best course of action; he simply acted with deadly force based on his preconceived ideas. As a result, within 3 seconds - 1, 2, 3 - an innocent child was unneccesarily murdered by someone paid to serve and protect him. He didnt even have a chance for any last words.
