https://youtube/watch?v=nj23dwWHukY Please watch this, and then read my comments. If you dont watch this first, then you cant complain that the rest of this message is a spoiler. Got it? Okay. Note that at 58 seconds and 1:36 Batman refers to the operating system of his spacecraft as Oracle. Those that use computers more sophisticated than Windows and OSX will get the reference. At 2:03, Batman says Ill take my science over your magic anyday. At 2:26, Batman says I underestimate nothing. At 3:36, it looks like Batman is going to win. At 4:03, using his magic, Darth Vader initiates a buffer overflow, which is clear from the error messages which start showing up in earnest at 4:22. Now, lets look at this from an OPSEC viewpoint. If you consider science to be technology, and you consider magic to be hacking (anything not understood imitates magic) the message of this becomes clear. No matter how sophisticated your technology or operating system, a good hacker can find a way into the system, cause a buffer overflow, and do incalcuable damage. Respect the adversary. Kudos to my friend Kellman Meghu, who did a much more expanded treatment on what Star Wars teaches us about IT security. esecurityplanet/mobile-security/it-security-lessons-learned-from-star-wars.html
