Sarah McLachlan wrote the multi-platinum song Angel about a friend and fellow musician whose life was cut tragically short by a drug overdose. The song has since gone on to become even more famous as an integral part of McLachlans efforts to raise money for the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA). In this video, she performs the song at a Live 8 event (organized to benefit humanitarian efforts in Africa). During the heartfelt performance, Josh Groban - a multi-platinum artist in his own right - surprises the audience by joining Sarah onstage and performing the song together as a duet.
