While he has been my favorite player my whole life, he was also a role model that motivated me as I played baseball. He was a great ball player, but an even greater person. Today, looking back at his career made me realize that, sometimes life isnt easy. We are constantly put in situations where our character is tested and sometimes we may make poor decisions or even the wrong decision. People can hate you and you might even hate yourself, but in the end, we are left with two paths. The path of destruction or the path of character.
