Now whenever I hear of a modern horror film all I can expect is cheap jump scares. Now if you do a jump scare right and keep it terrifying you did it right. John Carpenters The Thing for example. During the blood test scene there was a jump scare. But did it stop there? No, they kept the terror going throughout the entire scene. But now its something stupid like run into a window and make a loud bang, or grab a friend by the shoulder and have a ridiculously loud noise play. I recommend giving this a watch.
