JESUS CHRIST just says ask whatever you want an HE will give you, do it for you. That left no room to doubt that GOD may decide otherwise, but now when we go to 1 JOHN 5:14 HE says that we are confident we receive what we ask for if HE hears meaning he was expectant after prayer, and HE hears if we pray according to HIS will, meaning if we dont ask according to HIS will, HE doesnt hear, then we dont receive that which we asked for, the BIBLE says the LORD looks for a man to stand in the gap that HE may heal the land. A man like job who can build a wall that the wrath of GOD may not strike, this wall is build when we keep the WORD OF GOD and live according to it. EZEKIEL 22, and it mentions among the sins the priesthood, that everyone has departed from GODS standards from GODS word, they have departed in the mind, their mindset is distorted they are comfortable in their wicked ways, they have theology, calling good evil and evil good thats why for years people prayed for revival in vain, we had all gone in our ways thinking we were serving GOD, but GOD is saying dont be conformed to the patterns of the world but be transformed by the renewal of your minds, that brings us back to GOD that our thoughts be like HIS and our ways like HIS. But let us jump to JEREMIAH 29, HE promises that HE has good plans but HE will answer if we do it right, if we seek HIM with all our hearts HE will remove the gap between us,Cains offering was rejected for not doing it right like Abel, so if HE doesnt answer there is something we are not doing it right for HE told Cain if HE does right he will be accepted. As long as we shut the door on GOD HE does not hear. This is how we shut the door on HIM, when HE speaks against gossip, immorality, dressing e.t.c and we ignore, if we do so, HE also ignores when we pray thats what the BIBLE says in PROVERBS 15;29, 28:9 remember also JOHN 9:31 that GOD listens to the man who does HIS will, but praying persistently but turning your ear from GOD you pray in vain
