i am posting this for all the uga fans who were calling for the coaches job when he did the right thing....and the ncaa said it would have been worse had they not done the way they did. good call by mark and his staff in keeping gurley able to play this year, had they not pulled him when they did, it is very likely he wouldnt have played the rest of the year. PS: Per the NCAA: Todd Gurley must sit a total of 4 games, donate to charity & complete 40 community service hours for taking $3,000+ for autographs. Additional withholding was strongly considered because the violations occurred over multiple years with multiple individuals and the student received extensive rules education about the prohibition of receiving payment for autographs. However, the university’s due diligence in its investigation and the student’s full disclosure of his involvement in the violations were factors in not imposing a more severe withholding condition.
