i cant take a stand with a grieving person, but Ill say this...just because you know the person that was lost, doesnt make your opinion of black on black crime accurate. youve bought into the narrative of your oppressors and its more sad because you believe youre honoring the memory of your loved one by perpetuating it. its a slave mentality that needs to stop. we should really REALLY end the use of the term black on black crime, because it doesnt further our agenda, it only furthers those who wish to harm us. ill say again, contrary to popular belief, white folks kill more white folks than black folks kill black folks...yet you dont hear about white on white crime. its not by accident. wake up. when you say we need to stop black on black crime first youre admitting you believe the lies about your people and youve internalized a false narrative meant to make you hate yourself and your people INSTEAD of your oppressors. grieve, but please, for the love of everything, stop hating yourself.
