i encourage everyone of you who steps out to speak for our King that you ponder a few things; 1-is there any pride in the mirror? andrew murray says the humility is the most difficult of all virtues to acheive because nothing dies harder than the desire to think well of oneself (and opinions). 2-do i lean upon mans understanding of the book, or do i lean entirely upon the man the book describes? the bible although holy, is still just a book. a collection of words, that is not the object of worship. we worship a man, who gave us his words, then he gave us a helper, and has offered us his heart. many run with with the first one touting their pride, some depend upon the second for his words, and very precious few seek after the third. let us not forget martha in her busyness chose the wrong thing. you can not ever reach those he seeks until you seek his heart. 3- and most importantly, HAVE YOU BEEN CHOSEN? have you considered that most of the commandments given by Jesus were directed at the disciples, not the greater church? not all are shepherds, most of the church is sheep... to speak the words of God is not something one just does. many are called, but few are truly chosen for ministry because of the preparations involved. clearly as the word says, no man takes this honor upon himself... you must hear more than just your own mind. you must receive your calling (metaphorically speaking) just as every other chosen vessel has, by the voice of God!! moses heard in the bush, jerimiah was called to, samuel, all the disciples were called by name. yet we know by experience that many attempt to take up a calling by their own efforts and understanding, thereby becoming false witnesss speaking lies, and vain things, even alienating those whom Christ seeks in their pride. this is why there is contention, denominations, and division in what is supposed to be a pure, and spotless bride, walking in unity with each other and in love for our brethren, which in Gods eyes are anyone who names Jesus Christ as Lord! paul said he was all things to all people that he may win some. he layed down his whole life, praying and fasting, all vanity and pride in his own understanding and chose instead to follow his helper, always pursuing the heart of the man Jesus. to be chosen to be an image bearer of God, just as Jesus, is a work that the potter must prepare you for, just as a prophet or disciple was trained for years and years in secret, in the privacy of your prayer closet, in the depth of your heart. it is a fearful thing to speak for the almighty, and i dont see that fear in most here... i urge everyone on this group to read the following, and ask yourself do you understand that these scriptures deal with the worker in the fields of harvest more so than the lost? john 3:34 prov 6:16-23 prov 12:13-25 prov 30:6 jude 22-23 hebrews 5:1-8 prov 15:1-4 prov 13:10 prov 18:19
