i feel like we confuse hannah and lena. its fine to hate hannah. youre supposed to at least a little. but i think what lenas doing is very cool and artful and i think she is trying very hard to be a positive role model in an arena where everyone wants to slag her for one reason or another. she is not paris hilton or kim kardashian...she is actually making things and they are funny and sad and start conversations and we should be cheering this on instead of tearing her down. she even got taylor swift to start calling herself a feminist...i read it in US Weekly or wherever. and she is going to pay that juggler in iowa city (see tweet below) so we can all put the pitchforks and torches down – at least until tomorrow when weve got a new victim to scalp on social media. look, i get the frustration – im plenty tired of performing for free all the time too – but i dont think lena is the real problem here. shes not producing a bringer show with a 2 drink min in times square or whatever the REAL source of frustration is here. if we took all the energy that we put into hating her for whom she casts or how much she pays plate spinners or how naked she gets and put it into our own art, maybe wed start to see more success in our own lives.
