i got called a retard, cripple and disabled on my crutches... Injured my left knee few years ago, so painful... Each step i took was like walking on cut glass... It was raining, as i limped to train station, i saw him... Poor man, selling a newspaper and begging for money... He was freezing in the cold and very wet as rain showered down... As i went up to him slowly we spoke and i smiled at him... We became friends and exchanged numbers... Over time I gave him soft dawah and islamic materials... My knee was messed up, so red and I could not move well... He lived on the streets, windy cold and so did his friends... Yet as his knowledge grew of Islam, he started asking more questions... He shared Islam with his friends and once I saw his female friend... She was pregnant outside train station selling newspaper... So i went up to her, saw her sadness and went back to my Uni room... On my crutches, painful and hurt but went back to get her a blanket... Pillow and islamic books i brought back for her in freezing cold... She was over the moon and so happy, surprised her... Months later my knee get worse and I was mentally depressed... But knew Dawah is an obligation and we must keep going... I got verbally abused for walking around with crutches... But kept strong and decided to meet the poor mans friend... He had read half the Quran in a few days... Wanted to give him Dawah so met up with him inside train station... I was like Allah destined us to meet here, He chose you... Come to Islam my dear brother, i love you as my own... Right away he said his shahada and them i hugged him... Months later his friend came to Islam and so did another friend... Andy started taking arabic classes and this made me cry... Inspiring how a small intention can benefit others... Spread Islam, my knee recovered months later and i was happy... Fully fit again and playing football, all praise to Allah... Never give up and during hardship turn to Allah...
