As mentioned in yesterday’s DeafDigest, Derrick Coleman, who is deaf, was going to play in last night’s game between his Seattle Seahawks team and the New Orleans Saints. He scored a touchdown, the first and only deaf player in NFL history to make a touchdown (Bonnie Sloan and Kenny Walker, past deaf players, played defense). The way Derrick scored was probably the craziest touchdown in NFL history! A pass was thrown to a teammate. The ball, however, hit the teammate on his face mask and bounced up in the air.
